URBAN RAINWATER HARVESTING & MANAGEMENT

 

Understanding rainwater harvesting & management is absolutely key to building resiliency and planning for drought conditions. During this informative 2-day workshop, facilitated by Urban Farm School's Christian Van Schepen,  you will learn the "dos and don'ts" of residential rainwater harvesting as well as guidelines for planning and implementing your capture and management strategies.

 

This comprehensive course will cover the relevant theoretical knowledge behind urban rainwater harvesting as well as the practical applications of building actual  rainwater harvesting systems.  Attendees will be instructed in the importance, relevance and technical aspects of RH.  They will also be encouraged to bring site elevation drawings of their own residences for the purpose of planning a RH system for personal use.   Attendees may also take part in the planning and construction of one or more actual systems at the Urban Farm Permaculture Project.
