About The Event
Get some hands-on design experience and expert guidance as you plan out your own forest garden. Bring your site plan to class, and we'll take you through a step-by-step process of identifying best strategies for your particular site, site layout, how to plan in your access, choice and placement of appropriate trees, shrubs and other plants, as well as how to make your space personal, so you can create your ultimate oasis! We'll get into setting up your plant guilds, as well as how to use structure and other elements to enhance your forest garden ecosystem.
We'll also guide you through how best to stage your forest garden installation over time, avoid overwhelm, and mimic nature's patterning in how you manage your food forest going forward.
Note: FOOD FOREST FOUNDATIONS is a required course for anyone wanting to take this class.
