About The Event
Saving seeds is a foundational strategy for nurturing ongoing food sovereignty, a basic resilience-building skill practiced for millennia. Seeds were once considered very valuable currency, with generations of growers passing down important seed genetics through time. In this workshop we'll explore all the basics of seed-saving, what to do (and what not to do) to guarantee success, which plants are great candidates for seed saving, and which types are not, as well as some tips and techniques for harvesting and storage.
